Trolley bin bag sizes and micron specifications
Bag Babe manufactures trolley bin liners in two standard sizes, 710 + 450 mm and 800 + 400 mm, available in 20, 25, 30 and 35 micron. All sizes are supplied in black and packed 100 bags per pack. Widths shown are the flat width with the gusset closed.

Trolley Bin Bags and Wheelie Bin Bags
Bag Babe manufactures gusseted trolley bin liners for 140L and 240L wheelie bins. The gusset opens out so the liner sits square in the bin and folds cleanly over the rim instead of bunching at the corners. The range runs from 20 to 35 micron, so you can match the liner weight to what the bin actually carries.
Black is our standard line, supplied 100 bags per pack. Smokey and colour are manufactured to order, as are custom sizes. Every liner is made at our factory in Waltloo, Pretoria. If you also need standard bin bags, see our refuse bags range.
Which size fits my bin?
The 710 + 450 is the closer fit on a 140L wheelie bin. The 800 + 400 is sized for a standard 240L municipal wheelie bin. Both sizes will go into a 240L bin — the smaller one sits tighter, the larger one gives you more to fold over the rim.
If you are lining 770L or 1100L four-wheel trolley bins, these are not the right product. Talk to us and we will manufacture to your dimensions.
How to read the sizes
The two figures in brackets are the face width and the gusset. A 710 + 450 liner has a 710 mm face with a 450 mm gusset, opening to 1160 mm flat. To size a bin yourself, measure the width and the depth at the rim and add them together.
Choosing a micron
Lighter grades suit dry office and general waste. Heavier grades suit wet waste, kitchen waste and anything with sharp edges. If you are unsure, send us a description of what goes into the bin and we will recommend a grade.

What size bin liner fits a 240L wheelie bin?
A 240L municipal wheelie bin takes our 800 + 400 liner, which opens to 1200 mm flat and is available in 1300 mm and 1400 mm lengths. The 1400 mm length gives you more to fold over the rim.
What size bin liner fits a 140L wheelie bin?
Our 710 + 450 liner, 1160 mm flat, is sized for 140L wheelie bins. It is available in 20 and 25 micron.
What does 800 + 400 mean on a bin liner?
It is the face width plus the gusset. An 800 + 400 liner has an 800 mm face and a 400 mm side gusset, so it lies flat at 1200 mm and opens out to an 800 x 400 mm mouth.
Do these fit 1100L trolley bins?
No. Our standard trolley bin bags are sized for 140L and 240L wheelie bins. We manufacture to custom dimensions, so send us the bin measurements and we will quote.
Can I get trolley bin liners in smokey or colour?
Yes. Black is our standard line. Smokey and colour are manufactured to order, as are custom sizes.
Do you manufacture custom sizes?
Yes. Custom sizes are manufactured to specification with a minimum order of 300 kg per run.
